Creation - In the bible, creation is when God designed the Earth and everything on it. It is often tied to new beginnings or the start of something new.
Adam & Eve- They were the first people God created. They symbolize good versus evil.
Cain & Abel- They were brothers; however, God favored Abel’s sacrifice over Cain’s. This caused Cain to envy Abel so much that he murdered his brother in cold blood. They symbolize jealousy.
David & Goliath- David killed Goliath, a giant, with a slingshot, stones, and a sword. This act represents bravery in the face of intimidation.
Moses- Chosen by God to free the people from slavery in Egypt, Moses led the Jews through a parting in the Red Sea to the promise land. Moses symbolizes faithfulness to God’s will and freedom.
Abraham & Isaac- Abraham was called by God to sacrifice his son Isaac. He was going to obey God’s will until God told him to spare his son. Abraham symbolizes obedience and faithfulness.
Tower of Babel- The people tried to build a tower that reached all the way to heaven. However, God did not ordain this building; he scattered the people and confused their language. It represents disobedience and idolatry.
Jonah and the Whale- Jonah was thrown overboard and swallowed by a whale after deliberately disobeying God’s order to go and preach at Nineveh. He was truck inside the belly of the whale for 3 days. This story represents discipline and repentance.
Samson & Delilah- Samson was in love with Delilah; Samson’s enemies used Delilah and eventually found his weakness, stealing his strength. The story of Samson and Delilah involves deception and lust.
Solomon- Solomon was the King of Israel for 40 years who received wisdom and many blessings from God. However, his many wives (700 of them) blinded him and he turned away from the Lord, who took away the kingdom from his family when he died. This is a story of duplicity and greed.
Job- Job, a faithful follower of God, was stripped of everything he had (his wife, children, and livestock) in order to prove to Satan that he was indeed as faithful as God said he was. Job is a symbol of faith and sacrifice.
Joseph and the Coat of Many Colors- Joseph, the favored son of his father, received the Coat of Many Colors from his father. His jealous brothers sold him into slavery but he eventually rose to a powerful position. Joseph is a symbol of faith, patience, and an object of jealousy.
Armageddon- The last battle between good and evil before the Day of Judgement, foretold in the book of Revelations. It is a symbol of the eternal battle between good and evil and any great or crucial conflict.
